Overview
At St Leonard’s Catholic School, we believe in equipping our students with the necessary tools and guidance to make fully informed decisions and embark confidently on their next journey, whether that’s pursuing apprenticeships or advancing into higher education.
At St Leonard’s we offer a wide range of support to our pupils. By collaborating with industry professionals, organising careers fairs, delivering careers sessions during tutor time and facilitating work experience placements, we ensure our pupils are exposed to real-world scenarios, enriching their understanding of various professions.
Our careers programme isn’t just about offering advice; it’s a structured framework designed to support our pupils at key stages in their academic careers, explore a diverse range of career paths and offer one-on-one guidance tailored to individual aspirations. We foster an environment where students can explore, reflect and make informed decisions about their future.
The Careers Lead at St Leonard’s Catholic School is Mrs A Jukes. You can contact us using the contact form here.

We will know we have been successful when continue to have high numbers of pupils progressing to
apprenticeships, universities – including selective universities, apprenticeships, and other positive destinations such as employment or a further education college. We will aim to close the gap in destinations between young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and others.
We use the Destination Measures data, published by the Department for Education, to assess how successfully their pupils make the transition into the next stage of education or training, or into employment and data provided to us by the Local Authority e.g. Year 11 Leavers destinations.
Information will be reviewed in July 2026
