St Leonard's

Year 7 is an important year for pupils across the country, and at St Leonard’s we endeavour to ensure that pupils who join us every September have as smooth a transition into secondary school as possible.  

Most subjects in Year 7 are taught in tutor groups. There are some exceptions, for example Physical Education and Technology, where tutor groups are mixed. Mathematics classes are set after October half-term.

Key Dates

Tutor Evening: This is an opportunity to meet your child’s tutor at school and receive feedback about how they are settling into the new year. Date: Thursday 26^th September 2024, appointments between 3:30 and 6:00pm. 
Parents’ Evening: This is an online event with an opportunity to receive feedback from all of your child’s teachers. Date: Monday 20^th January 2025, 3:30-6:00pm. 

Reports: Reports will go out at three points during the year: December, March and July, at the end of each term. There is an end of year assessment for Year 7 in class from 2^nd June –20^th June 2025.
