St Leonard's

Throughout the year we work with our Catholic feeder primary schools to ensure all our pupils benefit from a smooth and enjoyable transition into St Leonard’s. Our feeder schools are: 

• Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Primary, Esh Winning;
• St Bede’s Catholic Primary, Sacriston;
• St Benet’s Catholic Primary, Ouston;
• St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary, Chester le Street;
• St Godric’s Catholic Primary, Framwellgate Moor;
• St Joseph’s Catholic Primary, Gilesgate;
• St Joseph’s  Catholic Primary, Ushaw Moor;
• St Michael’s Catholic Primary, Esh;
• St Patrick’s Catholic Primary, Langley Moor;
• St Thomas More Catholic Primary, Belmont. 

Each year we welcome a large number of pupils who join us from non-feeder primary schools. All pupils benefit from a thorough and pupil centred transition programme and families of Catholic faith, other faiths and none are welcomed into our school community.
